hope and healing

The past six weeks have been a complete whirlwind. On April 2, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

In the days that followed, I was wrapped in support of family and friends and surrounded by a robust medical team who put my care on the fast track.

My clients were notified that I would be out of work for an extended time to begin an aggressive treatment plan beginning with a major surgery. I put in place a “Dream Team,” to help keep business running as usual, and as my clients learned of my news, they, too, offered so much support!

In the past four weeks since I left work, I’ve received countless cards, texts and emails. My home was full of flowers and plants, making it a nice respite to recover and heal. A friend created a meal train, with clients and friends delivering dinner on the daily for my family.

It’s been four weeks since my surgery and tomorrow I open the doors to my office to get back to doing what I love!

I am grateful to everyone who supported me (and my family), to my clients for their support and understanding — and to my network of colleagues who have had my back.

I am stronger today because of you! Now, let’s get back to work!
